Parts of the wood are heavily trampled by pedestrians. How do you think this problem can best be rectified?

Management policies to address this issue will probably involve fencing off areas to allow the woodland to recover.

Non-native trees such as beech and sycamore are frequent within the wood and have out-competed the native species of oak and ash for light and space.
To address this issue there will be some phased felling of trees over a period of 10 years in conjunction with a planting regime of native species such as oak and ash.
